Families

Being active together

It’s our absolute favourite to see families on-court together. Whether you want to keep it social, get competitive, support your child’s development and get some exercise too, the options for spending time on court together are endless! Using smaller courts, rackets and softer balls makes playing as a family a whole lot easier too!

Designed For Families

Family Fizz

Alongside Mini Tennis sessions on a Saturday we run a Family Fizz. You jump on court with your kids and play Mini Tennis.

As long as you can make contact with a bouncing ball you can play, it’s heaps of fun! You don’t have to be dressed in sports kit either – just a pair of shoes that will hold your feet in place.

A Family Friendly

Every few months on a Sunday afternoon we run a parent and child competition which is open to everyone.

We level the playing field to make sure everyone enjoys the competition.  The Family Friendly is always followed by a picnic or food and drink with plenty of time to recap your games with friends.

What kit do we need?

We’ve got plenty of rackets for players to borrow.
We encourage players to bring a bottle of water.
Sun cream and visor if it’s sunny.

Can I speak with the coach?

Absolutely. We save 5 minutes at the end of the lesson so we can catch up with parents.

How do I get involved as a parent?

There are lots of ways to get involved, everything from arranging fun competition, helping out on court, completing a coach qualification or just generally volunteering. Don’t forget to find out about our family play sessions too!
